If you experience heart burn two or more times a week, you many have acid reflux or GERD. A new, incisionless solution is now available for those with chronic acid reflux. TIF (Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication) is an incisionless surgical procedure that reconstructs the body’s natural physical barrier to reflux. An outpatient sugery, TIF, gets away from the side affects of traditional surgeries and allows patients who were chronically taking medications to get off them completely. Christopher Johnson, DO, and Jason Boardman, MD, both board certified surgeons and specially trained for the TIF procedure, will explain the procedure and answer your questions about acid reflux and this new solution.
