Nodular melanoma is a type of malignant melanoma that begins as a skin lesion or spot and can spread aggressively without treatment.
During treatment, we may remove layers of cancerous skin. In other cases, we may remove the tumor and surrounding skin. We also may consider freezing the cancer with liquid nitrogen or using a laser to destroy abnormal cells. Advanced stages may require radiation and sometimes chemotherapy, which is often applied as a cream.
