CLERMONT, Fla. (December 18, 2015) - Summer Bay Development, the developer of the Exploria Resorts portfolio, today donated an 11-acre land parcel in south Lake County to South Lake Hospital, in affiliation with Orlando Health.

“This land donation is a tremendous gift to the south Lake County community,” commented John Moore, South Lake Hospital president.  “Thanks to the generosity of Summer Bay Development and Mr. Joe H. and Loretta Scott, we will be able to continue to meet the healthcare needs of this growing area today and well into the future.”

“This donation mirrors our mission statement to positively impact their (employees’) lives and the communities in which we do business,” commented Paul Caldwell, Exploria Resorts president/CEO. “The health and well-being of our 600+ Exploria Resorts team members and their families was the driving force behind the land donation to South Lake Hospital.”

The 11-acre parcel is located on Highway 27 near the intersection of U.S. Route 192 and is the anchor of the larger 90-acre Southlake Commons Development Project, which will also include apartments, restaurants and professional offices.

South Lake Hospital is currently evaluating the range of healthcare services that will be offered and expects to announce their plans after the first of the year.

“We are in the process of finalizing our plans to ensure that we offer the services needed in this community,” commented Moore.  “We look forward to sharing the complete vision of the Joe H. and Loretta Scott Health Pavilion soon.  Today, we want to express our gratitude to Summer Bay Development and the Scott’s for their commitment to the well-being of the residents of south Lake County.”
