CLERMONT, Fla. — South Lake Hospital has joined #GivingTuesday, an effort that brings together charities, families, businesses and individuals to change how people think about, talk about and participate in the giving season. Coinciding with the kickoff of the holiday shopping season, #GivingTuesday celebrates giving and encouraging support for charities during the holiday season. This year’s #GivingTuesday is scheduled for Dec. 3, 2013, following Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

“We hope the South Lake County community will get in the holiday spirit of Giving Tuesday by supporting a South Lake Hospital funding need,” said Sheri Olson, director of the South Lake Hospital Foundation. Current giving opportunities include the Mammography Fund, the South Lake Health Clinic, and LiveWell Youth Sports Scholarships and Programming.
