Georges A. Hobeika, MD, is a board-certified radiation oncologist with Orlando Health UF Health Cancer Center. His areas of interest include cancers of the lung, breast, head and neck and genitourinary malignancies.
Dr. Hobeika earned his medical degree from the Lebanese University, faculty of medical sciences in Beirut, Lebanon. He completed an internship at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, followed by a radiation oncology residency at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he served as chief resident. Prior to joining Orlando Health, Dr. Hobeika was a radiation oncologist and medical director at the Southeast Cancer Network in metro Birmingham, Alabama. During this time, he also served on the faculty of the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine.
In addition to being published in several peer-reviewed journals and presenting at numerous national conferences, Dr. Hobeika has a special interest in radiation physics and is the recipient of a research award in that domain from the American Society of Radiation Oncology, of which he is an active member. He is also a member of American College of Radiation Oncology and the American Radium Society and a diplomate of the United States Medical Licensing Examination. In addition to English, Dr. Hobeika is fluent in French and Arabic.
