Colorectal cancer, or cancer of the colon, is usually discovered during a colonoscopy, a procedure that lets your doctor look inside your entire large intestine.


This cancer is common and may be cured if discovered early. Surgery is the main treatment for colorectal cancer, and may include removal of your tumor and surrounding tissue and lymph nodes. They oncology team may follow up with chemotherapy, radiation therapy or a combination of both, as well as advanced heated chemotherapy if appropriate to the location and type of tumor.
