Expert Care Close to Home
Our team focuses on providing personalized care for the women in the South Lake community. When the time has come to meet the newest member of your family, we will help you each step of the way to ensure with quality healthcare in a supportive and calming environment. All of our private mother-baby units are spacious and offer all the comforts of home, close to home, to help you make the most of your first moments with your baby. At South Lake Hospital, it is our privilege to share this experience with you.
Create Your Personal Birth Experience
South Lake Hospital will work with you to help create the experience you desire during childbirth. If you are interested in a copy of our recommended birthing plan, please email [email protected].
Our healthcare team promotes mother-baby skin-to-skin contact - even with C-sections - so that bonding begins immediately. In addition, we promote breastfeeding at South Lake Hospital and provide you with help and guidance when needed to ensure your success in breastfeeding. We have lactation consultants as part of your healthcare team and a helpline for questions and guidance once you leave the hospital. We also offer a moms support group to help new moms manage each stage of the process, including transitioning back to work. Over 60% of our moms leave South Lake Hospital exclusively breastfeeding their babies.
Comfort and Security
South Lake Hospital provides mothers with her choice of a support person (must be 16 years or older) who are encouraged to stay as long as the mother wishes and take an active role in labor, birth, postpartum and newborn care. Our locked unit hospital allows families to rest easy knowing that their precious newborn will be safe and secure during their stay at South Lake Hospital.
