Safe Sitter® Babysitting Course offered at South Lake Hospital

CLERMONT, Fla. (March 16, 2015) - South Lake Hospital will host a Safe Sitter® Babysitting Course Tuesday, March 31 through Wednesday, April 1, at the LiveWell Fitness Center.

The Safe Sitter® course is a highly structured babysitting preparation course designed for youth ages 11 through 13. The two day course is held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and covers babysitting basics, child care essentials, and safety for the sitter, injury management, preventing problem behaviors, care of a choking infant and child and the basics of infant and child CPR.

The course includes hands on practice with CPR manikins, small group interactive learning, role-playing and a toddler or preschool guest. Program participants emerge as more confident, responsible and compassionate teens.

The cost for the program is $50. Discounts for siblings and scholarships are available. Pre-registration is required and space is limited. Please call 352.241.7109 to register and for more information.
