Wound Care Center

Orlando Health South Lake Hospital's Wound Care Center specializes in the treatment of problem wounds that result from diabetes, venous insufficiency, trauma and more. The center provides an outpatient, hospital-based program that works in conjunction with the patient's primary care physician, serving an adjunctive service for the referring physician. Open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the program operates by appointment. Referrals are not necessary, unless required by insurance.

The center features state-of-the-art hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), a treatment in which the patient breathes 100 percent oxygen inside a pressurized chamber. HBOT quickly delivers high concentrations of oxygen to the bloodstream and assists in the healing process of wounds. It is also effective in fighting certain types of infections, stimulates the growth of new blood vessels and improves circulation. HBOT is also used to treat crush injuiries, osteomyelitis, skin grafts and flaps and diabetic wounds of the lower extremity to name a few.

If you have a wound that has not started to heal in two weeks or if it has not healed completely in one month, we can help. Our physician and staff are trained in advanced wound care and hyperbaric treatment. To schedule an appointment, please call (352) 536-8788.

Orlando Health South Lake Wound Care Center is located at 2040 Oakley Seaver Drive, directly behind the hospital (inside the Endoscopy building).
