Establishing Breastfeeding and Newborn Care Class
Moms and Dads are encouraged to learn the basics of Breastfeeding and Newborn Care. This class provides information on how to put your baby to breast, how to recognize feeding cues as well as the basics of burping, diapering, cord care and how to care for your newborn infant.

Joint Replacement Classes
Having knee or hip surgery at South Lake Hospital or considering surgery? This class will have you feeling confident and better prepared. Instructors will walk you through the process from preparation to recovery and answer any questions that you may have.

Mom's Morning Out
This group meets every Wednesday morning in the Center for Women’s Health Obstetrics Department (except holidays). It is led by a lactation consultant and is for new moms and newborns up to four months of age. A baby scale is available. No registration is necessary. Please call 352-394-4071 ext. 4380 for more information.

Outpatient Breastfeeding Consultations
Prenatal breastfeeding consultations and postnatal breastfeeding consultations are available and may be covered by your insurance provider. Services provided by board certified lactation consultants.
Private, 90-minute consultations are available for those that need additional breastfeeding support beyond the free breastfeeding phone line after leaving the hospital.
Cost
$90, South Lake Hospital mothers, $35 follow up (if needed)

Stroke Support Group, Virtual
Stroke survivors and caregivers can find care, support and connection at Orlando Health’s Stroke Support Group. In this monthly group, currently provided virtually by calling in or logging on, participants will have the opportunity to share stories and experiences with others who understand their journey, while learning about helpful topics such as nutrition, available resources and other ways to improve one’s lifestyle.
