Dr. Anjali Vyas is president of Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies, president of Orlando Health Women’s Institute and a senior vice president with Orlando Health. She is also a board-certified internal medicine physician specializing in primary care, hospitalist medicine, and hospice and palliative care. Her expertise includes:

  • Health maintenance and disease prevention, including annual physicals, healthy lifestyle management, immunizations and patient education
  • Treatment of acute and chronic illnesses in an office-based setting
  • Advanced care planning for older adult patients and their families
  • Chronic disease management and care coordination for conditions such as diabetes, high cholesterol and asthma

In her leadership and administrative roles, she values practicing clinically, while also implementing system-wide strategies to improve each patient’s experience and provide high quality care.

Dr. Vyas’ Training

Dr. Vyas earned a bachelor’s degree at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, and received her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, graduating with high honors. After completing an internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, she earned her Master of Business Administration degree at the University of Florida in Gainesville.

Dr. Vyas has been a practicing physician in Central Florida since 2012 and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Her professional memberships include the American Medical Association, American College of Physician Advisors, Medical Group Management Association, Florida Hospital Association, American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin and National Association of Accountable Care Organizations.

Dr. Vyas has held several leadership positions in Central Florida healthcare organizations, including chief medical officer and interim chief executive officer of a primary care group, associate medical director of a large hospice and palliative care organization, and chief executive officer of an accountable care organization.
