Kaitlin Christopherson, MD, is a radiation oncologist with Orlando Health UF Health Cancer Center. She specializes in the treatment of genitourinary, hematologic and head and neck cancers and works hand-in-hand with each patient’s care team to develop a targeted, individualized treatment plan. She is skilled in advanced radiation techniques including volumetric modulated arc therapy, image guided radiotherapy, stereotactic body radiotherapy and proton therapy.
Dr. Christopherson earned her bachelor’s degree in integrative biology and medical degree, with an honors in research, from the University of Florida in Gainesville. She completed her internship and residency in radiation oncology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. During her residency, she was recognized for outstanding and compassionate clinical care and awarded the Mary Fletcher Memorial Award.
Dr. Christopherson has been an author for multiple manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and chapters in the field of radiation oncology. She has a special interest in patient education, shared decision-making and clinical quality improvement. She is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology.
