    At Orlando Health South Lake Hospital Center for Women and Babies, we are ready for you. Now it's time to get ready for your baby. In our Get Ready series, we offer in-person Ready for Birth, Ready for Breastfeeding, and Ready for Baby classes. Couples may register for the full series or select a'la carte classes.

  • Joint Replacement Classes

    Having knee or hip surgery at South Lake Hospital or considering surgery? This class will have you feeling confident and better prepared.  Instructors will walk you through the process from preparation to recovery and answer any questions that you may have.

  • Outpatient Breastfeeding Consultations

    Private consultations are available at Orlando Health South Lake Hospital for moms who deliver at our Center for Women and Babies and are having breastfeeding concerns.

  • Stroke Support Group, Virtual

    Stroke survivors and caregivers can find care, support and connection at Orlando Health’s Stroke Support Group. In this monthly group, currently provided virtually by calling in or logging on, participants will have the opportunity to share stories and experiences with others who understand their journey, while learning about helpful topics such as nutrition, available resources and other ways to improve one’s lifestyle.

    The relaxing family dining room features views of south Lake County’s rolling hills. Meals are made fresh daily in our restaurant-style kitchen and are nutritionally balanced for each patient.

  • Stop the Bleed

    The #1 cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding. That is why Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital offers training in our community to learn to stop bleeding. Become an immediate responder by learning how to control bleeding with the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Stop the Bleed course. The person next to a bleeding victim may very well be the one who is most likely to save them from bleeding to death. By learning how to control bleeding, you will gain the ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively to control bleeding once you learn three quick techniques. This course will empower you to make a life-or-death difference when a bleeding emergency happens.

  • Mom's Morning Out

    Is for new moms and babies up to one year of age. We offer weekly weight checks and weighted feedings, as well as an opportunity to ask the lactation team questions and connect with other moms. This group meets every Wednesday morning from 10:00 am to Noon (except holidays) in Orlando Health South Lake Hospital’s Sky Top conference room on the first floor of the Center for Women and Babies.  No registration required.  Please call (352) 386-1185 for more information.
