Orlando Health Hospitals Recognized for Patient Safety by The Leapfrog Group, Excellence in Clinical Outcomes and More by Fortune/IBM Watson Health
Orlando, FL (April 29, 2021) – Orlando Health South Lake Hospital has earned its sixth consecutive A grade from the Leapfrog Group, an independent national organization committed to healthcare quality and patient safety. Orlando Health South Lake was also named this week to the Fortune/IBM Watson Health 100 Top Hospitals® list in the medium community hospital category and, in addition, received special recognition as an Everest Award winner. Everest Award winners are hospitals that earned the Fortune/IBM Watson Health 100 Top Hospitals designation and had the highest rates of improvement during a five-year period. Orlando Health South Lake is one of only 20 hospitals to receive the Everest Award and one of only two in the medium community hospital category. The annual list recognizes excellence in clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, patient experience, and financial health.

Orlando Health Announces Major Plans for Expansion in Lake County
Orlando, FL (August 10, 2021) – Orlando Health South Lake Hospital will soon start construction to expand its campus to provide South Lake County with greater access to high-quality healthcare. Plans include an expansion and renovations to the Orlando Health South Lake Center for Women’s Health and the construction of a new 95-bed patient tower. The first phase of construction will begin with the realignment of Don Wickham Drive to intersect with Legends Way and include the addition of a stoplight to improve traffic flow.

Orlando Health revising visitor policies in response to coronavirus
Orlando, FL (March 13, 2020) – In order to maintain a safe environment for patients, guests and team members, Orlando Health has modified its visitor policies. The new policies went into effect Friday, March 13, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
