Bio
Dr. Vijay Baburao Patange is a board-certified and fellowship-trained diagnostic radiologist with Orlando Health Medical Group Radiology. He previously served as chief of radiology at Orlando Health South Lake Hospital in Clermont before starting his current position as chief of radiology at Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital in Winter Garden.
He has been treating patients in Central Florida for more than 20 years, and his skills include:
- Magnetic resonance imaging
- Hepatobiliary nuclear medicine
- Urologic and colorectal oncology imaging
- Computed tomography scans
- Ultrasounds
- X-rays
Dr. Patange has a patient-first care philosophy and knows that behind every medical image he interprets, there is a person who needs his care. He also finds joy in being able to help other specialists and their patients with his expertise.
Dr. Patange’s Training
Dr. Patange earned his medical degree from the University of Nagpur in India and a postgraduate degree in diagnostic radiology from the University of Bombay. He completed a radiology residency with the University of South Alabama in Mobile. He then completed a nuclear medicine fellowship with the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston followed by an MRI fellowship at The Christ Hospital and Proscan MRI in Cincinnati.
About Dr. Patange
Dr. Patange is certified in diagnostic radiology with the American Board of Radiology. His memberships include the American College of Radiology and Radiological Society of North America. He has been honored as a Top Doctor in radiology by Orlando Magazine and serves as president of the Orlando Health South Lake Hospital Foundation.
Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, reading, volunteering and staying active in the community. He is fluent in English and Hindi.
