Overview
Orlando Health South Lake Hospital Center for Women and Babies is proud to provide a wide variety of breastfeeding, childbirth and parenting classes for women and families in our community. For schedules, more information or to register for any of these classes, please call (321) 843-7626.
Our classes are taught by certified lactation consultants (International Board Certified Lactation Consultants, IBCLC) and Registered Nurses.
Moms' Morning Out - Is for new moms and babies up to one year of age. We offer weekly weight checks and weighted feedings, as well as an opportunity to ask the lactation team questions and connect with other moms. We meet every Wednesday morning from 10:00 am to Noon (except holidays) in South Lake Hospital’s Sky Top conference room on the first floor of the Center for Women and Babies. Prenatal Education Classes - At Orlando Health South Lake Hospital Center for Women and Babies, we are ready for you. Now it's time to get ready for your baby. In our Get Ready series, we offer in-person Ready for Birth, Ready for Breastfeeding, and Ready for Baby classes. Couples may register for the full series or select a'la carte classes. Breastfeeding Consultations - Private consultations are available at South Lake Hospital for moms who deliver at our Center for Women and Babies and are having breastfeeding concerns. Please call (352) 386-1185 to speak with a lactation consultant and schedule an appointment.
Breastfeeding Phone Line - Our team at Orlando Health South Lake Hospital Center for Women and Babies offers new parents access to a free phone line for quick breastfeeding questions. Call our team at any time if you have feeding questions, latch difficulty, weight gain issues, or maternal medication questions. One of our lactation specialists will return your call during normal business hours. Call (352) 386-1185.
