Joint Replacement
Are you scheduled for a knee or hip replacement, or curious as to what to expect? We offer a live, interactive pre-op class that will familiarize you and your “coach” (a loved one who will help you through your recovery) with the expectations of joint replacement surgery. The class covers topics such as how to prepare for surgery; what to bring to the hospital; your needs for recovery and rehabilitation; and what to expect during your hospital stay and during the discharge process. This class will have you feeling confident and better prepared and our instructors will be available to answer any questions that you may have.

Stop the Bleed
The #1 cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding. That is why Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital offers training in our community to learn to stop bleeding. Become an immediate responder by learning how to control bleeding with the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Stop the Bleed course. The person next to a bleeding victim may very well be the one who is most likely to save them from bleeding to death. By learning how to control bleeding, you will gain the ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively to control bleeding once you learn three quick techniques. This course will empower you to make a life-or-death difference when a bleeding emergency happens.

Mom's Morning Out
Is for new moms and babies up to one year of age. We offer weekly weight checks and weighted feedings, as well as an opportunity to ask the lactation team questions and connect with other moms. This group meets every Wednesday morning from 10:00 am to Noon (except holidays) in Orlando Health South Lake Hospital’s Sky Top conference room on the first floor of the Center for Women and Babies.
