Find out the best way you can donate.

Each gift to the South Lake Hospital Foundation, no matter the size, is important and appreciated. And as a 501©3 organization, your gift may be tax deductible.

Charitable giving can take many forms, including cash, stock, real estate, annuities and life insurance. Below is some additional information to make your gift easy and convenient:

Donate online

Online donations are the quickest and most effective way to donate. Simply click on the button that says “Donate,” and enter your credit or debit card information on the secure server. You can also choose where to designate your gift with this option, specify a memorial or honorarium gift, or set up a recurring/monthly donation.

Cash gifts

Cash or check is another simple way to support the South Lake Hospital Foundation. Make checks payable to South Lake Hospital Foundation, and mail it to 1900 Don Wickham Drive, Clermont, FL, 34711.

Monthly credit card donations

Contributions may be made to the Foundation through a pledge of monthly gifts by credit card, and can be set up to donate automatically for any period of time that you specify. This is a wonderful way to increase or maintain your donation by spreading it out over an extended period of time.

In-kind donations

An in-kind donation can significantly assist the foundation's efforts to improve healthcare. Types of in-kind donations may be items for special events (such as potential auction items for our annual golf tournament or gala), or articles for the comfort of patients (such as new or handmade baby blankets or stuffed animals for children in the emergency department). For infection control purposes we cannot accept used items (including books), food or anything with latex. All items should be new, clean and unwrapped. Tribute gifts

Gifts in memory of a family member or friend, in honor of an individual, or in recognition of a special occasion express what words alone cannot and provide important support for South Lake Hospital’s mission.

Matching gifts

Many employers have matching gift programs, which allows your gift to exponentially increase thanks to your employer. Before you make your donation, please check to see if your company participates in a matching gift program.

Stock donations

Stocks may be donated to the South Lake Hospital Foundation as a charitable gift. Gifts of stocks may be dedicated at fair market value on the date of transfer to the Foundation.

Planned giving

Planned giving is a means of “leaving a legacy.” A gift can take the form of cash, stocks, and other investments such as life insurance, works of art, land, or other assets. These gifts can be made during the donor's lifetime or upon death. We recommend you speak with your attorney or financial advisor, but in the meantime, we have prepared some language below to assist you in making a bequest to the South Lake Hospital Foundation:

I hereby give, devise and bequeath $_______ (dollars) to South Lake Hospital Foundation, a not-for-profit organization located at 1900 Don Wickham Drive, Clermont, FL, 34711, for South Lake Hospital Foundation’s general use and purpose.

Should you choose to donate personal property, real estate or a percentage of your estate, you may do that as well with minor wording changes to the above.

If you are considering a bequest and would like to make sure that it is used for a specific area, please let us know and we can work with you and your legal representative. There is additional language we may recommend to you and your attorney to provide the Foundation with flexibility should it no longer be possible to use your gift as you originally intended.

Event Sponsorships or Hosting an Event for the Foundation

Event Sponsorship

South Lake Hospital has a long history of partnering with corporations, vendors and campus partners who have supported us throughout the years to make our campus the health, wellness and fitness destination that it is today.

Throughout the year the South Lake Hospital Foundation hosts a variety of events that benefit the Hospital and the community, including our annual golf invitational and fundraising gala. Contributing to the Foundation by participating in or sponsoring an event is a wonderful way to experience the fun of giving to a worthwhile cause.

These signature events benefit the community and provide tangible marketing rewards for your business. Corporate sponsorship benefits include tickets to events, networking opportunities, recognition in various hospital publications as well as publicity in several media outlets.

Third Party/Independent Events

Events planned by groups throughout our community are a vital source of funds for the South Lake Hospital. Events planned and hosted by an individual and groups who are not a Foundation representative are independent community events. These events benefit the hospital, but are not organized by the Hospital or the Foundation. The Foundation bears no monetary or fiduciary responsibility for these events and may have limited staff involvement in the project.

South Lake Hospital and the South Lake Hospital Foundation are recognized as tax exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code.
