Emergency Department
South Lake Hospital’s campus is fully equipped and prepared to handle major or minor emergencies that occur in our community. We provide 24-hour emergency service, including emergency air care. Recent construction more than doubled the size of our emergency facilities. With 30 treatment rooms, negative air flow rooms, diagnostic imaging, and fast track care for less serious emergencies, our team is committed to taking care of your medical emergency quickly, safely and compassionately.
Laboratory
South Lake Hospital’s clinical laboratory is a full service laboratory accredited by the College of American Pathologists. We offer an outpatient laboratory, located at the Outpatient Entrance. Registration for outpatient laboratory services is available through the Patient Business department on the first floor of the hospital at the Outpatient Entrance, Monday – Friday, 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. No appointment is necessary. The clinical laboratory is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergency, routine inpatient and inpatient testing. If you need to have testing done outside of our normal business hours (Monday - Friday, 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.), please register in the Emergency Department.
Diagnostic and therapeutic laboratory services include routine clinical chemistry, hematology and coagulation, immunohematology, serology, routine urinalysis, transfusion services, anatomic pathology and therapeutic drug monitoring.

Case Management
South Lake Hospital’s case managers work with physicians, nurses, dietitians, physical therapists and others involved in your stay to coordinate services when you are ready to be discharged. Services offered at discharged may include referrals for:
• South Lake Home Health and other
home health services
• Skilled nursing facilities
• IV therapy
• Home medical equipment
• Acute rehabilitation facilities
• Hospice and palliative care resources
• Other community resources

Home Health
Our goal at South Lake Hospital is to provide the best quality care that maintains the comfort and quality of life of our patients. The extensive home health services we provide empower our patients to live independently while recovering from illness or injury.
The South Lake Hospital team of home health professionals is specially trained to provide friendly, caring medical service as you recover in your own home. Our staff will help evaluate each situation and work with you, your doctor and loved ones to create a personal healthcare plan to best suit your individual needs.
